Banco Macro S.A is a universal bank, with focus in low & mid-income individuals and small & mid-sized companies organized under the laws of Argentina. Banco Macro was initiated by the members of the Brito and Carballo families who are the actual major shareholders.

Banco Macro S.A. is the controlling shareholder of the following entities: Banco de Tucumán S.A., Macro Bank Limited, Macro Securities S.A., Macro Fiducia S.A. and Macro Fondos S.A.

Our shares have been publicly listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA) since November 1994, and since March 24, 2006, as ADS on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE); both under the same ticker symbol BMA. 1 ADS represents 10 Class B shares.

As of March 2018, Banco Macro has 669,663,021 outstanding shares of common stock, consisting of 11,235,670 Class A shares and 658,427,351 Class B shares, resulting in a total of 669,663,021 shares all of them with a par value of Ps. 1.00 per share. Each share of our common stock represents the same economic interests, except that holders of our Class A shares are entitled to five votes per share and holders of our Class B shares are entitled to one vote per share.

As of March 2018, the major shareholders own 33% of the stock, 39% of the stock trade on BCBA and on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and 28% is owned by ANSES (as manager of the Fondo de Garantía de Sustentabilidad).
